Our timber orangeries are manufactured in our workshops in West Sussex. Each timber orangery we design and make is constructed in the finest durable hardwood.
Timber is without exception the best material to use in the construction of an orangery, whether it is traditionally styled or entirely contemporary.
For an orangery with beautiful classical details, wood is without equal. Why? This is because timber has been the material used for centuries for the fenestration of houses. For an orangery to have authentic detailing, such as elegantly moulded window casements incorporating delicate glazing bars, timber is the only option.
With our background in traditional joinery manufacture we are able to design and build orangeries that replicate detailing in the host building. This allows an orangery extension to blend harmoniously with the house. Upvc and aluminium require totally different manufacturing techniques and the fabrication of these materials results in a product far removed from a timber casement window.
Windows: Choose from stormproof, heritage flush fitting and traditional sliding box sash windows.
Doors: Single and French doors with full height glass, fielded panels or plain panels with bolection mouldings. Alternatively, choose a bifolding door set with a huge range of configuration options.
Glazing bars: We can produce both windows and doors with all configurations of glazing bars to replicate host building fenestration.
Posts and pilasters: Choose from plain square posts, with or without chamfers.
Capital blocks: Both capital blocks and reverse capital blocks can be fitted from simple to highly ornate.
We offer a standard range of colours which are the most popular colours. However, timber orangeries can be painted in a vast range of colours. At additional cost, the joinery can be painted in a different colour internally if required.
A well made modern orangery is able to last indefinitely. Burberry Harris Moon design timber orangeries with many features, and they will last with minimal maintenance for many years.
